Poster for 65th anniversary Totalizator Sportowy

Project

A poster made for 65th anniversary of Totalizator Sportowy, polish organisation supporting sport and culture. The poster is a linocut print and made it through to the finals of the competition. I created two final designs and a personal project in more general colours.

Technique

I chose a linocut print to honour the rich tradition of Polish poster design. Polish artists often used it to create in the 1960s, and I wanted to achieve a similar effect here.

Process

First, I sketched my ideas digitally. Then, I carved the lino and finished the poster. Below you can see part of the original plates for printing the linocut and my first rough sketches.
